Why we love it
Rawla Narlai is located in the village of Narlai, set in the heart of the Aravali Hills and surrounded by rocky outcrops. It was once a hunting lodge for the Jodhpur’s Royal family and today it is still owned by members of the family, but has now been transformed into a stylish boutique hotel whilst still maintaining its original character and structure.
The rooms – including luxury tents – lead off a variety of balconies and porches and are each charmingly furnished with
beautiful antique furniture and in some cases retain their original frescoes and stained glass windows.
Guests can relax with a drink while looking out on the large holy granite rock and temples below.
Rawla Narlai is the perfect place to enjoy the attractions of the countryside between Jodhpur and Udaipur.
Indulge in a 'mystical dinner' at the stepwell, as you dine by candlelight on delicious Rajasthani delicacies on comfy sofas.
Head out in jeeps through Rajasthan's rugged countryside to enjoy a cup of hot tea by the lake and watch migratory birds fly by the lake.
Hop on a purebred Marwari horse â the choice of Indian royalty â to explore the rocky terrain of Narlai.
Rawla Narlai guides will drive you into their nearby park for an exclusive game drive. Passing local villages and waterholes, be sure to see anything from a snake to a leopard on the hills.
