Day 2

Grand Teton National Park

  • Explore Grand Teton wildlife at sunrise with a naturalist guide
  • Learn about the animals, geology and the cultural history of Jackson Hole and the Tetons

Head out into nature with your experienced guide for the best way to explore the wildlife and history of the park.

This morning you’ll be picked up by your naturalist guide to spend the morning observing wildlife, photographing and exploring this amazing ecosystem. Start early to ensure you have the best opportunity for wildlife sightings. Plan on uninterrupted wildlife viewings on low-traffic paths, followed by a wealth of information from your knowledgeable guide. Animals observed on these walks include moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans, amongst many more. Learn about animal behaviour, adaptations, geology, local botany and the cultural history of the Jackson Hole and Grand Teton areas.

Day 3

Whitewater Rafting

  • Paddle through rushing rapids
  • Dip into the deep water at calm intervals for a refreshing swim off the raft

Conquer rapids and enjoy pristine scenery on a day out paddling, dipping and floating along the Snake River.

Today board a raft and enjoy whitewater rafting along the Snake River. This is a very wide and deep river, perfect for jumping in for a quick swim. Some sections are up to 80 feet deep, making it a less technical and more family-friendly river. This is an exhilarating day out, splashing, paddling and enjoying beautiful scenery at quieter sections of the river.

Day 4

Horseback Riding

  • Appreciate the Western scenery from horseback
  • Gallop through fields and trot along trails, depending on your experience

Ride across mountain trails and open ranges on beautifully trained horses, an unforgettable day for experienced and novice riders alike.

Located in close proximity to both the town of Jackson and the west bank of Snake River, Spring Creek Ranch’s on-site stables offer the most accessible horseback riding option in Jackson Hole. Enjoy a privately guided horseback trail ride across the East Gros Ventre Butte with views of the town of Jackson and the Teton Range from atop your well-trained steed.

Day 5

Yellowstone National Park

  • Visit iconic park sights like the geyser Old Faithful
  • Hike lesser-known trails for new perspectives on park attractions and to appreciate the special beauty of Yellowstone

Spend a day exploring Yellowstone National Park with your private guide to discover stunning scenery and fresh perspective on the most famous and beloved American National Park.

This morning you’ll be picked up by your naturalist guide and transferred approximately 90 minutes into Yellowstone National Park. Spend the day in the park exploring all the diverse areas and ecosystem this incredible park has to offer.

Visit all the hotspots and take ample time to see the thermal features, including Grand Prismatic Spring and Old Faithful, the famous geyser. You will also have a chance to see waterfalls and encounter wildlife. Take a break at midday to enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park. In the afternoon, a few short hikes on lesser-known trails in the area provide a unique opportunity to get up close to some of the park’s iconic attractions. Cover the whole southern and parts of the northern loop of Yellowstone, appreciating the scale and beauty of this incredible park.

Day 6

Fly Fishing & Jackson Hole Rodeo

  • Cast for trout knee-deep in the Snake River, appreciating the skill and serenity of fly fishing
  • Meet cowboys and cowgirls before they take the stage at the century-old Jackson Hole Rodeo

Try your hand at fly fishing for trout and cap off the day behind the scenes at a town rodeo.

Venture out with your guide this morning, an expert fly fisher, to learn how to catch cutthroat trout while taking in the amazing scenery and wildlife such as elk, deer, bison, eagles, osprey and more. The fly fishing location may vary depending on where the best spots can be found that day; but with over 60 miles of water, the Snake River has gorgeous fish that are abundant and native to the West. Later in the evening enjoy a VIP Jackson Hole Rodeo experience. The Jackson Hole Rodeo has been part of the town’s cowboy culture for over a century. Tonight, go behind the chutes to see how the cowboys and cowgirls prepare for the rodeo. Once the rodeo starts, proceed to your VIP box for perfect viewing of the up-close action.

Day 7-8

Mountain Biking

  • Peddle through the fresh mountain air on a scenic path
  • Enjoy a relatively flat path, though there are more adventurous routes available for experienced mountain bikers

Biking is a fantastic way to get active and appreciate the Teton scenery. The paved pathway is great for all levels, but plenty of extreme mountain routes will keep adventurous bikers entertained.

Enjoy a bike tour along the “Paved Pathway” in Grand Tetons National Park. The path rides directly beneath the majestic peaks of the Teton Mountain Range through wide open sagebrush plains with bordering lodge pole pine and aspen forests. This is an out and back route on a paved pathway – about ten miles roundtrip. The terrain is relatively flat, an easy level thus making this a great scenic bike ride for the entire family. On your last morning after breakfast and goodbye, you’ll be transferred approximately 30 minutes to the Jackson Hole Airport for your flight home.
