The Yucatan Peninsula

With the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other, the Yucatan Peninsula is fringed with some of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico. Between Tulum and Playa del Carmen, the soft white sand and calm turquoise water are also home to some beautiful beach properties. Further south, explore the Sian Ka’an biosphere reserve with its mangrove forests and miles of pristine coastline protected by a national park. We work with some exceptional private villas on the Caribbean coast. Inland, a world of Mayan ruins, freshwater cenotes (natural underground reservoirs) and Colonial cities offer an enticing balance of nature and culture. Stay at a traditional Hacienda or a contemporary spa retreat and explore a rich tapestry of Mexican history. There are some well-known Mayan sites, such as Chichen Itza and Uxmal and others draped beneath jungle that very few visitors explore and are worth discovering with your guide. We can arrange adventure-packed days where you can explore an ancient Mayan temple in the morning, picnic and swim by the crystal clear waters of a cenote and then spend the afternoon exploring markets in Merida.
