Highlights

  • Explore the French colonial influences of southern Vietnam
  • Indulge on board with Michelin-inspired dining
  • Hop on a private ‘launch’ to explore nearby landmarks and riverside villages
  • Eat dinner in the middle of Tonlé Sap lake whilst enjoying the sunset
  • Discover the incredible jungle temples of Angkor, a true Wonder of the World

Day 1 - 3: Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

  • Explore the web of picturesque canals making up the Mekong Delta
  • Brave the underground Cu Chi tunnel system used in the Vietnam War

Ho Chi Minh is a bustling modern metropolis, but scratch the surface and you’ll encounter a strong sense of history through the French colonial influence and beautiful architecture.

Begin your trip in Ho Chi Minh with two nights at the Park Hyatt. This colonial-inspired hotel promises elegance and sophisticated design, with the comforts of a tranquil pool and spa. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh for exploring the most popular attractions – walk to cultural and historical locations such as the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Reunification Palace. For those wishing to delve deeper into the painful history of the Vietnam War, head to the Cu Chi tunnels, used tactically by Viet Cong soldiers during combat.

Day 3 - 10: Mekong River, Vietnam & Cambodia

  • Take a dip in the outdoor pool at the back of the boat for incredible panoramic views of the Mekong River
  • Back on land, hop on a bicycle and cycle through rural villages to experience life along the Mekong’s riverbank

One of the most important rivers in Southeast Asia, the iconic Mekong serves Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand, and makes for memorable luxury cruising experience.

For a truly immersive experience, embark on an exquisite seven night cultural journey up the Mekong river to Siem Reap aboard the Aqua Mekong, a luxurious floating hotel. Watch shifting panoramic views from your bed, taste Michelin-star chef David Thompson’s expert local dishes, sip sundowners on the outdoor deck, and watch a film under the stars. The private fleet of launch boats takes guests to landmarks, local villages and temples along the way, promising a different adventure around every corner.

Day 10 - 13: Siem Reap, Cambodia

  • Avoid the crowds and follow your private guide to visit the quieter ‘pink’ temples of Banteay Srei
  • Experience a ‘floating village’ in the rainy season to see how these incredible communities exist and thrive in a challenging environment

Much more than the gateway to Angkor Wat, Siem Reap town offers the chance to jam-pack your days with memorable sightseeing or to take a breath and relax by the pool.

Spend three nights at Raffles Siem Reap, a heritage landmark and colonial style hotel near the river. Set in 15 acres of garden and decorated with 19th century prints of Cambodian history, the hotel’s Restaurant Le Grand is one of the finest places in town for Khmer cuisine. The swimming pool, too, is amongst the largest in Cambodia. Awake pre-dawn to uncover the temples of Angkor at sunrise before discovering the town’s fascinating markets and eateries. Enjoy a boat trip around the floating villages of Tonlé Sap Lake and attend a traditional circus performance by night.
