Example Itinerary

Days 1-3

Panama City

  • Visit the world famous Panama Canal, a modern engineering wonder of the world
  • Take a guided tour along the Amador Causeway revealing spectacular views of Panama City and the Pacific Ocean

Today you will begin your Panama adventure with a visit to Soberanía National Park. This historical trail was once used by merchants, slaves, European explorers and gold seekers, and you will observe many birds, mammals and reptiles.

Next, you’ll continue with your guide to the Amador Causeway, a road that connects three Islands in the Pacific Ocean and offers magnificent views of the Canal on one side and of the skyline of Panama City on the other side. The tour continues to Casco Viejo, Panama City’s beautiful colonial quarter.

On your next day in Panama City, you will travel on the Panama Canal itself – a truly amazing experience.  You’ll have the chance to admire the Bay of Panama, Panama City’s splendorous skyline and pass under the Bridge of the Americas. You’lll enter Miraflores Lake, followed by Pedro Miguel Locks, Centennial Bridge and the Gaillard Cut all the way to the Panama Canal Dredging Division and to the Flamenco Marina.

Days 4-6

Boquete

  • Enjoy an exclusive dining experience at the hacienda of the Chamorro-Carlsson family, including live cooking and a farm-to-table dinner
  • Learn about the production of the local coffee and sample a cup fresh from harvest
  • Dine on a picnic lunch among the tropical greenery of the Quetzal Trail
  • Swim in the hot springs of the Caldera

Today you will get a short internal flight to David and then a private transfer to the Panamonte hotel.

During your time in Boquete, you will be taken to the hotspots of the area, including the Waterfall Trail for fantastic hiking, birding and wildlife spotting. Afterwards you will continue to the entrance of the Quetzal Trail and enjoy a lovely picnic lunch in the midst of lush vegetation. After lunch, you’ll have a short introduction to Boquete’s strongest product: Coffee, allowing you to learn about its production and of course, try it! Finally, you will continue downhill to for a relaxing swim in the hot springs of Caldera. 

The hanging bridges allow you to experience the exceptional biodiversity of Panama’s tropical cloud forest from the treetops. Amaze yourself with breathtaking views of clear rivers, waterfalls, and the towering Baru Volcano, an active stratovolcano and the tallest mountain in Panama, at 3,475 metres. 

During your time in Boquete, you will also have an exclusive dining experience. The Chamorro-Carlsson family opens the gates of their hacienda to attend you and make you feel like their guests. Upon arrival at the farm there will be a welcome and a tour around the greenhouse, and trout pond, then start dinner. It will include live cooking as part of the experience of the farm-to-table dinner, including fresh fruits and veggies, organic salads, and meat, all from the farm.

Days 7-10

Nayara

  • Sleep over the water at Nayara Bocas del Toro, nestled on the edge of Panama’s Caribbean coast
  • Observe dolphins in their natural habitat on an excursion to Dolphin Bay, aptly named after its native inhabitants 
  • Snorkel among secret coves and spend an afternoon on the sands of Red Frog Beach

It’s time to head to Panama’s beautiful Caribbean coastline! You will start your day today by taking a private land transfer to Almirate port before boarding a boat to Nayara Bocas del Toro – your beautiful over-water home for the next 3 nights!

During your stay here, you’ll be able to enjoy unlimited 5 star dining as well as take part in excursions such as dolphin watching, paddle boarding, kayaking in the mangroves and snorkelling.

Your adventure will begin with a short boat ride to Dolphin Bay to observe dolphins playing in their natural habitat. The mainland coast and the mountain regions of Panama serve as an exquisite background for photo opportunities. Then you will venture to Coral Cay for snorkelling at 2 locations with time for lunch on the beach. The afternoon will be spent at Red Frog Beach, one of the best beaches of the region, so you can spend a few hours enjoying the waves, sand and sun.
