Why we love it
The observation tower is suspended 94 feet above ground; from the treetops, you will discover an arboreal world few of us humans get to encounter - watch troops of monkeys moving effortlessly from branch to branch and a host of birdlife. Also, venture along the canopy walkway through the treetops to access life in the trees at another level.
Visit the Yasuni parrot lick - an exposed clay riverbank full of life with many parrot species gathering there in the early hours. The butterfly house is another on the list, here they are breeding over 40 native species. Another option is to head into the rainforest with a guide and see the fascinating flora and fauna.
Hop into a dug out canoe with a guide and wind your way down streams. Feel like you are drifting into a lost word with the incredible bird song and spectacular sightings of swinging monkeys overhead.
Truly magical - not to be missed. Head off in a canoe accompanied by a guide when darkness hits, your path lit by starlight. Look out for the red glow of the caimans eyes glaring back at you as they float along.
