Visit Uyuni Salt Flat
The ‘Salar de Uyuni’ is the largest salt flat in the world, expanding over 4,000 square miles (6,400km). Located on the Bolivian Altiplano at almost 12,000ft (3,650m), it’s about as impressive as it gets. If you visit during the dry season, you’ll get further and see more, but during the wet season the heavy rains falling on the salt plains create an incredible mirror effect – a dream for photographers.
The salt flats, however, are not just about salt. You can see incredible rock formations, canyons, volcanoes and hot springs, as well as swim in salt lakes and colourful lagoons! There are also some great accommodation options – you can either stay in a hotel made almost entirely from salt, or you can stay in a new luxury airstream campervan, which is a really unique experience with private chefs and guides, outdoor and indoor dining and cocktails, tailor-made activities on offer and the best possible stargazing opportunities!
Great team, great trip
Seriously impressed with True. From start to finish it was a very professional service and they checked in at every occasion. Will definitely use again.
