Stay at Las Islas

Just 45 minutes by speedboat from Cartagena (helicopter and land transfers also available), this rustic retreat on the island of Barú is the perfect seaside escape. Las Islas has 55 Thatched bungalows that gaze over the Caribbean Sea with large decks and some with private swimming pools shaded by rainforest. We love the Grand Treetop Bungalow, with 360 views over the forest canopy and out to the open ocean. The beachfront spa uses the restorative power of nature with outdoor therapy rooms and yoga classes.

It’s hard to force yourself to leave the premises. However, it is worth getting out to discover mangrove forests, incredible snorkelling and stunning archipelagoes, including Islas del Rosario and San Bernardo. These tiny islands are surrounded by coral reefs and the incredible blue of the ocean has to be seen to be believed. We can arrange a private yacht charter to take you out for the day with a Captain and crew to look after your every need.
