Lamai Serengeti sits tucked amongst the rocks of Kogakuria Kopje with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, just a few miles from where the wildebeest cross the Mara River. The camp sits atop the highest vantage point for miles and looks out over the vast plains and Maasai Mara beyond. The area boasts the Big Five and great bird life all year round. It is also undoubtedly one of the best places from which to view the migration crossing at the Mara River from July to October, right on the camps doorstep. Alternatively between November and March, come here to enjoy the rich resident game, sweeping scenery and escape the crowds. The Lamai Serengeti Main Camp boasts open-fronted rooms with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, flush toilets and mosquito nets around your beds. There are also two family rooms with children’s annexes and bathrooms shared with parents. Each of the eight rooms are designed to fit into the complex geometry of the kopje and to make the most of this sensational location, its views and its natural space and light. Each room has been carefully considered. Firstly and most importantly, with the elements in mind, to take maximum advantage of the view, the sun, the wind and even the rain! This camp is much suited to the people who enjoy comfort and style without being over the top.
