So we’ve collated some of the best short, mid and long haul stays from the US and UK, to inspire you for you next trip.  Activity filled days on horseback, ones gliding on glistening water or just feet-up lying back in the sun, there is an option for everyone.

Ballynahinch Castle – Ireland

Surrounded by craggy mountains and hundreds of acres of estate, this elegant 18th-century castle sits in the heart of County Galway’s forests on the edge of a salmon-rich river. Expect country pursuits in abundance, from clay pigeon shooting to boating on the nearby Atlantic.

Ranch at Rock Creek – Montana
