Founded in 2010 by Kent and Britta Lindvall, Treehotel is located in a small village within the Norrland forest. Since 2022, the hotel has been owned by Jonas Olsson and Hannah Wennebro Olsson.
Treehotel’s vision is to provide a magical experience through passionate, top-class hosting and unique architectural designs. Each house is teeming with pure originality, ensuring a stay like no other.
The hotel showcases a variety of architectural styles, designed by seven Scandinavian architects, evident in the camouflaged aluminium structures, plywood interiors, and unconventional themes. The minimalistic design seamlessly integrates with the natural surroundings, featuring clean lines, abundant natural light, and neutral colours.
Proud to run as a business with sustainability in full focus, no trees were cut down during construction. All rooms have environmentally friendly sourced wooden floors, energy efficient eco-toilets, and locally crafted fittings.

Waking up to the smell of freshly home baked bread first thing in the morning is just the beginning of your local menu experience. Move on to a nutritious main of delicate reindeer meat or wild moose, and finish off with an incomparable ice-cold lemon sorbet topped with freshly picked berries from the forest. You can choose between a candle lit dinner under the stars or a three-course dinner 10 meters high up in a tree for a delicious meal.
