Day 1 - 4: Aurland, Norway

Spend a night camping with the Sami people and learning about their culture over a campfire BBQ
Wander down to the water’s edge to go fly-fishing for wild Atlantic salmon

Spend some time in the heart of Viking country, nestled amongst some of the country’s most spectacular fjords for endless water-based activities.

Fly into Bergen, where you will be staying at 29.2 Aurland in the heart of the Norwegian fjords for a wilderness escape with incredible scenery. Get involved with the lodge’s array of ‘green’ activities, focused around discovering the surrounding fjords on foot. Take a leisurely hike through the mountains, or spend some time by the river fly fishing for wild salmon. Lunches can be eaten outside, cooked over a traditional log fire for an authentic Norwegian outdoor experience. Wrap up warm and spend a night in a Lavvu tent, learning about Sami culture and feasting with them on barbecued goat.

Day 4 - 9: HMS Gåssten, Norway

Navigate the fjords on the nimble naval ship to experience the water privately where other boats cannot reach
Enjoy afternoon tea daily on the upper deck to look out at the blue skies

Stay on a reconditioned minesweeper to have the fjords all to yourself, and experience the best the landscape has to offer at all times of day.

Catch a flight to Ålesund to board HMS Gåssten, an impressive former naval minesweeper. Experience the onboard luxury, with exclusive use of the ship for your group, as well as a chef and skipper to guide your experience through the fjords. Moor on the banks of the fjords to explore the landscape at your own pace: hike up the mountains, paddle kayaks through narrow waterways, paddleboard around waterfalls or visit a fjord farm on a tractor. End your days with afternoon tea on the water with a private view of the waterfalls, before watching the pink sunset over the water.

Day 9 - 10: Oslo, Norway

Dine at one of the city’s Michelin starred restaurants to taste some of the best food Oslo has to offer
Discover the city’s architecture and green spaces on a guided bicycle tour

End your trip in the green city of Oslo, where urban life continues to revolve around the city’s easily accessible nature

Fly to Oslo for a quick trip to explore the cultural hub of Norway. Discover the beating heart of the city on a bicycle tour to see the eclectic mix of architecture and the city’s many parks up close at a leisurely pace. Stop along the way to taste one of Scandinavia’s top culinary street food scenes, trying potato pancakes and cured lamb. For dinner, let us book you a table at a Michelin starred restaurant to experience another facet to Oslo’s foodie scene before flying home the next morning.
