Spot a blackleg Iberian Pig in the forest outside Seville before learning about this speciality ham in the Cinco Jotas Bodega

Begin your Holy Week on Palm Sunday, touring the city’s incredible landmarks and sampling Seville’s most authentic dishes before watching the Brotherhoods’ ‘paso’ processions in the evening.

Arrive in Seville the day before Palm Sunday and check in to your boutique hotel nestled in a quiet alleyway in the Barrio Alfalfa. The Corral Del Rey is a beautifully restored 17th century Casa Palacio with Moorish architectural designs and a rooftop terrace with a plunge pool that overlooks the Cathedral and Giralda Tower. Begin Palm Sunday with a morning walking tour to explore Seville’s resplendent Mudejar Palaces, baroque churches and winding medieval lanes, uniquely decorated in palms for the celebrations. Tour the Royal Alcazar – a royal palace built atop an ancient Muslim Fortress – before exploring the Santa Cruz District and the Old Jewish Quarter. In the evening, begin Holy Week Processions watching La Amargura Brotherhood exit the Iglesia San Juan del la Palma, before watching La Cena lit up by candlelight at the Plaza de los Tercero.

Bring your appetite on Monday as you tuck into the authentic Andalusian dishes on your private tapas tasting tour, such as a tender beef cheek paired with the perfect Spanish wine. In the afternoon, join the elated audience as they watch the spectacular exit of El Museo in the evening before heading to the Plaza de la Gavidia to watch the Vera-Cruz Brotherhood and their magnificent paso. The following day, travel to the nearby forests with a private guide to spot the blackleg Iberian Pig before heading to the famous Cinco Jotas Bodega to learn how to carve the ham before sampling some for yourself with a glass of sherry. In the evening, watch the Nazarenes of the Dulce Nombre as they exit San Benito with their paso, accompanied by the sounds of the saetas, or flamenco prayers.
