After the UK government’s announcement that a traffic light system will be introduced once international travel resumes (May 17th at the earliest), we have changed the format of the weekly Data Pulse. We will display the changing rate of infections over time, following trends in cases to predict destinations that will likely move onto the green list this summer. We will bring the latest insights, news and predictions, based on worldwide case rates and vaccination numbers, to help you plan future trips in the most informed way possible as the world opens up again.
15th April 2021
- Infection rates in Italy, France, Greece, Norway, Ireland, Finland and the UK have all fallen in the last 7 days. If trends continue, European destinations could be on the green list for summer travel.
- Further details on the countries on the UK government’s green, amber and red lists will be announced in early May.
- Predicted destinations that could be marked on the green list from May 17th include: Israel, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, USA, the Caribbean, Gibraltar, UAE, Singapore, South Korea. Yet this is not confirmed and could be subject to change.
- Israel will begin to welcome vaccinated travellers from May 23rd, with over 60% of their population now vaccinated.
