Day 1-5
SIEM REAP, Cambodia
Siem Reap is the entrance to one of the wonders of the world – the Angkor complex.
Fly into Siem Reap and spend four nights at Bensley Collection Villas. Escape the crowds by stepping into a paradise of private villas, shaded by the Royal Residence’s Gardens, and adorned with sun decks, plunge pools, outdoor bathtubs and roof terraces. Discover the beauty and culture of Siem Reap with a private guide whilst exploring the temples of Angkor Wat after sunrise and visiting local villages by ox-cart. Organise a day excursion along the margins of Tonlé Sap Lake and dine out on fragrant local Khmer food.
Day 5-7
PHNOM PENH, Cambodia
A busy capital city, Phnom Penh life centres around the river and is fuelled by great food.
Move on to Phnom Penh and spend two nights at the Rosewood, a sophisticated hotel located at the top of a sleek skyscraper. This exceptional hotel boasts panoramic views from your bed and the chance to splash out at the Sense Spa or with a cocktail at the Sky Bar. Centrally located, you’re perfectly positioned for exploring the country’s rich and painful history at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Khmer Rouge Killing Fields. Fine-dine by day and night, and experience a Khmer cooking lesson to learn how to create the famous fish amok.
Day 7-10
KIRIROM NATIONAL PARK, Cambodia
A lush green forest filled with lakes and waterfalls makes for the perfect escape after a busy few nights spent wandering around cities.
Set your compass south of the country’s capital to the National Parkland and spend three nights at the exclusive Shinta Mani Wild resort, an opulent tented camp situated along a river valley in the rainforest. Glide into jungle-life by zip wiring over the canopy into the hotel reception to be greeted with an ice cold G&T, before meeting your private butler. From this moment, immerse yourself in a languid jungle lifestyle of bird watching, river safaris, nature trekking and outdoor jungle baths. Further activities such as fly-fishing, tubing, and mountain biking are also available to explore the natural surroundings.
Day 10-14
KOH RONG ARCHIPELAGO, Cambodia
End your trip on Cambodia’s most indulgent private island – a luxurious private retreat brimming with relaxed style.
Finish your holiday by heading to the Port of Sihanoukville where a speed boat will whisk you to Song Saa Private Island. This exclusive beach location and eco-luxe retreat unfurls over two unspoilt islands. Your stone and thatch villa boasts sea views and plunge pools. The perfect place to unwind, enjoy barefoot luxury at your own pace; watch sunsets from the infinity pool, snorkel with seahorses, spot rare bird species and star gaze with an expert. Water babies will enjoy kayaking in the freshwater estuaries and embarking on an island safari around neighbouring ecosystems and habitats.
Sue & Michelle
I thought Cambodia was all about Angkor, but Katie told me about her recent trip, and before we knew it we were drinking cocktails in Phnom Penh at the Raffles bar, cruising down the Mekong, exploring lost jungle temples and then Six Senses Krabey was perfect for the end of the trip. Thank you again Katie, Molly and team TLT, that was one of the best!
