Stay at Abai Jungle Lodge

Built on stilts, the Lodge provides a rustic, rural setting, deep within the interior of Sabah. Perched on the Kinabatangan River, guests are immersed in their surroundings at all times, with an abundance of wildlife to be found right on your doorstep.

The lodgeâs spacious wooden rooms are connected by

boardwalks and are within an easy walk to the cosy communal restaurant, which serves locally-sourced food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fantastic nature walks and bird watch towers surround the property, allowing you every opportunity to see the famed wildlife of Borneo.

My husband and I stayed at the Datai for our honeymoon and wanted to take our kids back after the refurb. We needed Peter and Katie‘s guidance to help us create a trip memorable for more than a beautiful hotel and perfect beach. Kuala Lumpur was so much fun but – amazing food and we rushed about for 2 nights there before heading down to Sepilok to see the orangutans, our boys LOVED that. Thankfully the Datai was even better than we remembered it. Such an amazing family holiday. Thank you True Luxury.
