Combine a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia to blend an array of cultural, culinary and historically rich experiences, with the opportunity to also unwind on a range of pristine beaches.
Day 1 - 4: Hoi An, Vietnam
Day 4 - 7: Siem Reap, Cambodia
Day 7 - 9: Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
Day 9 - 11: Can Tho, Vietnam
A city dotted with canals, Hoi An is a fusion of cultures, with clearly identifiable Chinese, French and Japanese influences.
Fly into Da Nang and travel down to the historic coastal city of Hoi An, where you’ll spend four nights at Four Seasons Nam Hai, situated along Vietnam’s most distinguished beach. For adventurers, enjoy the hotel’s great combination of activities such as beach tai chi, rice field cycling, and sunrise power walking. Upgrade to experiences such as diving at the neighbouring Cham islands, preparing local delicacies at the Cooking Academy, and playing golf at the nearby course. Wander Hoi An’s streets and jump at the opportunity to fish with fishermen, eat with local villagers and make rice barges.
Discover the beauty and culture of Siem Reap with a private guide whilst exploring the temples of Angkor Wat after sunrise and visiting local villages by ox-cart. Organise a day excursion along the margins of Tonlé Sap Lake and dine out on fragrant local Khmer food.
Fly from Da Nang Airport to Siem Reap, Cambodia. It’s hard to describe the magic of Phum Baitang, a beautiful, open-air hotel set away from the bustle of town and within plush tropical gardens. Stay in a rustic but luxurious Khmer wooden villa on stilts with a private plunge pool. Explore the temples and return to cool off with a swim in the freshwater pool overlooking the paddy fields and spark the evening ahead with a pre-dinner mixology class. Hop in a tuk tuk and discover the crumbling jungle ruins of the ancient Angkor kingdom with an expert private guide. Structuring your day to avoid the crowds, we’ll organise visits to local villages by traditional ox-cart and sunset cocktail cruises on Tonlé Sap Lake.Despite being the most visited city in Cambodia, Siem Reap remains mellow compared to much of Southeast Asia, with pleasant cafe culture and the incredible civilisation of Angkor on its doorstep.
A foodie hotspot, Ho Chi Minh is known for its incredible pho and pork rolls served in family run restaurants.
For the next stop, fly to Ho Chi Minh and spend two nights at the colonial inspired and majestic Park Hyatt hotel. A stone’s throw away from the most popular attractions, walk into the hustle and bustle and explore landmarks such as the Opera House and the Reunification Palace with your private guide. At night, experience a motorbike tour through Ho Chi Minh’s streets for a taste of local living. For an extraordinary insight into the history of the Vietnam War, travel along the Ho Chi Minh River to the Cu Chi Tunnels by luxury speed boat before descending underground with your guide.
A city set amongst the Mekong Delta, Can Tho is famed for its floating markets, restaurants, bars and hotels.
Finish your trip at Azerai Can Tho, located on a private islet only accessible by boat and surrounded by nature, mangroves, waterways and lakes. Wake to a boat trip along Hau River, a feeder for the Mekong Delta, watching as local plantation farmers and fishermen trade crops and produce. Cycle around plantations, rice noodle factories and the rural riverside before strolling through local street market, testing home-made delicacies. Experience a sampan tour at sunrise or sunset, or embark on a half day tour that’ll meander through small canals to a secret Khmer sanctuary.
