Why we love it
Visit Shwedagon Pagoda - Yangon's most iconic monument - at sunrise to see the sun bouncing off it, and make an offering at your planetary post.
Don't miss any of Yangon's historical sights with one of the hotel's guides showing you around the must-see stops, such as the Han Thar Wa De War Cemetery.
Hop between some of Yangon's grandest pagodas, one said to enshrine the hair of the Buddha and one plated with more than 8,000 solid gold slabs.
Take a tour of Twante's authentic pottery workshops and see the reclining Buddha to discover the charming everyday life of this little village.
Hop on a bike and cross the Bago River to visit vibrant markets, before taking a ferry to a river island guarded by colourful ogres.
Pick up souvenirs to take home in Yangon's colourful markets, with a range of choices from rich fabrics to fresh fruits and meats.
Tour a local market to learn about exotic ingredients that make up Myanmar's cuisine, before learning to prepare your own feast.

I am writing to thank you for arranging a most wonderful trip to Burma in January. Every part of it was perfect. The guides were excellent and they had different strengths. We enjoyed driving instead of flying from Bagan to Mandalay (we decided to change that en route and it was fine) as it exposed us to a bit more of the country. We loved the ballooning of course and washing Buddha’s face and the hotels. And the lacquer showroom and factory. In fact, everything. You did a fabulous job. Thanks so much; all three of us had a trip to remember and learned so much.
