Kuala Lumpur is the federal capital and the largest city in Malaysia. Literally meaning “muddy river confluence” in Malay, Kuala Lumpur has grown from a small sleepy Chinese tin-mining village to a bustling metropolis of around 6.5 million in just 150 years.

My husband and I stayed at the Datai for our honeymoon and wanted to take our kids back after the refurb. We needed Peter and Katie‘s guidance to help us create a trip memorable for more than a beautiful hotel and perfect beach. Kuala Lumpur was so much fun but – amazing food and we rushed about for 2 nights there before heading down to Sepilok to see the orangutans, our boys LOVED that.
