Ndali Lodge

Kibale Forest

Set high on a mountain ridge, this collection of eight spacious, airy cottages looks over the idyllic Lake Nyinambuga whilst being surrounded in lush green gardens. The Rwenzori mountains act as a dramatic backdrop to this lodge which instils a feeling of being at the end of the earth. Spend your days taking guided walks by the knowledgeable guides Steven and Sam or hike around the Lake Nyinambuga. The lodge is located just a 40 minute drive from Kibale forest, an ideal spot for Chimpanzee trekking. Ndali was built by Cpt. Mark Price and opened in 1996. Since then it has been taken over by his son Aubrey and his wife Clare. Their hosting is unrivalled and the communal home–cooked dinners spent sharing their knowledge of the area help you feel particularly comfortable and at home. Each of the cottages are equipped with a private terrace and an en-suite bathroom with permanent hot water. All the power at the lodge is solar, the water is pumped from the lake using a pump that utilizes gravity and the water is heated using a recyclable wood-source planted on the estate. After a long day of hiking, chill out by the pool, take a few minutes to yourself in the sauna or treat yourself to a relaxing massage in your room.
