Day 4-6

GARDEN ROUTE, South Africa

  • Our favourite part of South Africa, an area of extreme natural beauty perfect for nature lovers
  • An ultimate wilderness oasis full of diverse activities in absolutely beautiful surroundings

Grootbos Private Nature Reserve offers outstanding panoramic views of the ocean and mountains as well as boasting phenomenal marine life and the beauty of the Cape Floral Kingdom.

From Cape Town, travel along the coastline to Gansbaai on the famous Garden Route, for two nights in the secluded Grootbos Private Nature Reserve. Set amongst ancient rolling hills of milkwood and fynbos trees, both the garden and forest lodges overlook the impressive coastline at Walker Bay, where the Atlantic is home to the Marine Big Five. We can arrange for you to spot these animals whilst sea kayaking, whale watching or cage diving. Alternatively, immerse yourself in the wilderness playground whilst on horseback, nature walks or bird watching.

Day 6-9

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK, South Africa

  • Guaranteed wildlife sightings in the Timbavati with your expert guide and tracker team who work together to get you to the heart of the action
  • Cool off in the pool before swapping stories of your wildlife sightings at the atmospheric bar

Set in the northeast of South Africa, the Kruger is home to a varied landscape of bush plains and tropical forest and makes for a great introduction to the Big Five and other mammals.

Continue to Ngala Safari Lodge for your South African safari experience – a lodge set in a private game reserve in the western boundary of the Kruger National Park. Ideal for couples and families, head out on twice-daily game drives in hope of spotting the Big Five and walking safaris for more intimate wildlife encounters. Come back to Ngala after an eventful game drive and dip into the pool. From here, watch as herds of elephants flock to the nearby watering hole. Whilst relaxing on your private verandah, have your binoculars at the ready for spectacular birdlife viewing.

Day 9-13

BENGUERRA ISLAND, Mozambique

  • Enjoy the endless kilometres of empty white sand, turquoise water and a laid-back atmosphere
  • If you’re keen to dive and deep-sea fish, this is one of Africa’s best places to get active

Warm waters, pristine coral reefs teeming with marine life, idyllic beaches, inland freshwater lakes and towering sand dunes have shaped the adventure haven of Benguerra Island, Mozambique.

Fly to Mozambique and transfer to Benguerra Island for five nights at &Beyond Benguerra Island Lodge. Imagine the perfect picture of an Indian Ocean beach lodge and here you’ll find it – barefoot luxury where tropical garden meets turquoise blue waters. Boasting some of the world’s best catch, seize the opportunity to fly fish and deep-sea fish in this underwater heaven. Whilst on land, spot the endangered dugong mammals and horse ride along the beach. Our highlights include a delicious seafood meal on a private sandbank island and a sunset dhow cruise.

Missy & Harry

Absolutely amazing holiday. Garonga is heaven! We did everything possible and our guide was brilliant and hilarious. I can definitely recommend True Travel for their excellent advice and professionalism – they clearly are very knowledgeable about where they send their clients and made sure we had a worry-free holiday that perfectly suited us. We were particular grateful for the collection off our flight and help onto our transfer in Johannesburg, which included a very nifty queue jump due to their reputation!
