Leeu Estates

Cape Winelands

Leeu Estates is an exclusive and luxurious five-star boutique hotel, offering 24 exquisitely appointed rooms and suites. Nestled on nearly 100 hectares of vineyards, beautifully landscaped gardens, and indigenous trees in the Franschhoek valley, it enjoys a central position between the mountainside and the river. Just a stone’s throw away from the charming village of Franschhoek, this idyllic retreat provides an elegant and sophisticated private hideaway, where guests can relish superb comfort, exquisite dining experiences, and platinum-level service. The heart of this working wine farm is the meticulously refurbished 19th-century Manor House, housing six charming rooms and suites. Additionally, there are two adjacent rooms, while the remaining accommodations are located in spacious cottages scattered amidst the lush gardens, oak trees, and vineyards. A meaningful feature on the estate is the Bokkie Garden, which holds a special place in the heart of owner Analjit Singh. “Bokkie,” an Afrikaans term of endearment akin to “beloved” or “sweetheart,” is fittingly dedicated to the small buck that grace this enchanting garden, designed by Franchesca Watson. Among the highlights of the garden is the remarkable sculpture named “Reflective Resonance,” crafted by acclaimed sculptor Angus Taylor in bronze and Belfast granite. This awe-inspiring piece is destined to become a prominent Franschhoek landmark, adding to the allure of Leeu Estates and its magnificent surroundings. Activities nearby include touring art galleries, wine tasting, beach days and even whale watching and shark cave diving for the adrenaline junkies out there!
