The Fort in Namibia is truly unique, being the only one of its kind. Its strategic location offers guests one of the most spectacular sunset views in the entire country, overlooking the vast beauty of the Etosha Pans, adorned with wild animals and numerous Camel Thorn trees. As you arrive at The Fort, you’ll be warmly welcomed not only by our friendly staff but also by the grandeur of the towering structure with captivating viwes. The Fort blends a classical African ambiance with hints of Moroccan and Indian influences, featuring an array of exquisite antique windows and doors.

The Fort has 11 Bush Suites and 1 honeymoon Suite, each thoughtfully situated adjacent to the main fort, stretching out on both the southern and northern sides. Privacy is guaranteed, as each suite is about 50 meters apart from the others. These suites have a bar fridge and air-conditioner to ensure comfort during warmer days. The spacious bathrooms offer both indoor and outdoor shower areas. Wooden decks lead to outdoor seating areas and sun loungers, inviting guests to relax and savour the extraordinary views. Furthermore, The fort boasts the exclusive Sultan Suite, situated inside the main tower of the complex. This suite features a beautifully designed bedroom leading to a lounge area and a private viewing deck. The lounge is equipped with satellite television, a bar fridge, and telephone facilities. The large bathroom offers a delightful open shower area and a relaxing bath too.

The Pitchers

We had the most amazing time! John Barclay and his team were very special and the mobile safari exclusive and superb. Moremi was very quiet with few other tourists – no more than a dozen other vehicles seen in four days. Macatoo was also excellent with good riding and game. We were so grateful for the help that you offered when our BA flights went wrong. Many thanks again for the superb service and recommendations which made for a great holiday.
