Hidden away on Impalila Island at the eastern end of Namibia’s Caprivi Strip, close to the borders with Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe, as well as The Victoria Falls, Ichingo Chobe River Lodge is the perfect spot to end an adventure through the Caprivi, but the easy access also combines really well with a safari in Botswana and a visit to the Victoria Falls.
With eight spacious safari tents this is a small lodge, which allows for an intimate atmosphere, but there are plenty of guides to ensure all guests can have a truly tailored safari experience. The main bar area is the social hub of the lodge where guests convene before or after activities and it offers spectacular views out across the river. There is a spacious dining area which leads out to a large deck where meals are served when the weather allows. A plunge pool is tucked away in the shade of a grove of trees and surrounded by loungers where guests can relax and soak up the sunshine. The meals and hospitality are a real hallmark of a stay here and many guests return year after year to enjoy this wonderful lodge.
The emphasis at Inchingo is very much on relaxation after (or prior to) a busy safari, a range of activities can be enjoyed from here, focusing on exploring on the river, but there is also excellent birdwatching to be enjoyed on the island and wildlife can often be seen here as well.
