Chelinda Lodge is set against a pocket of hagenia woodland overlooking vast tracts of Nyika National Parks rolling grasslands dotted with large herds of wildlife. The lodge consists of eight double-storey twin log cabins each with two three quarter beds (can be converted to doubles on request) on a raised deck. Dining takes place in the main lodge. The cabins are made of pine and are essentially warm log cabins with a fireplace for the cold highland nights. They each have an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower, and an upstairs viewing area or room for accompanying children. The chalets are joined to the main lounge area by an elevated wooden walkway. During winter hot water bottles and extra blankets are provided. There are also two chalets that are interconnected and can be used for a family for four.
Kaya Mawa is located on the south-western tip of Likoma Island in the middle of Lake Malawi.
