Stay at Treehotel

Treehotel offers a unique hotel experience. The rooms of the Treehotel are up in the trees overlooking Lake Lulea. Each treeroom has a contemporary design and is situated in the middle of unspoiled Arctic forests of Sweden. The UFO appears somewhat ghostlike amongst the trees, and comes with a double bed and three single beds and also a retractable ladder. The Dragonfly comprises two separate bedrooms with four single or two double beds. All of the above have eco-friendly waste systems where at the push of a button waste is dropped into an incinerator beneath and basins come with a water saving system. The latest addition to this extraordinary collection of tree houses, the 7th Room, comes courtesy of Norwegian architects, Snøhetta. Here you can

forget about the time constraints of everyday life, enjoy the serenity, and rejuvenate in a sophisticated yet familiar environment. In winter there are snowmobiles and snowshoes in all sizes and guides can accompany you through the wilderness. Come the evening, there are two saunas and one hot tub and classic Swedish massages are available on request. There is also a zip line on site and activities from moose safaris, ice-fishing, dog-sledding and photographing the northern lights to choose from.

Snowmobile safari

Cross moors and thick snow covered pine forests by snowmobile. Spot moose, reindeer and other wildlife and stop for lunch outdoors by the fire.

Northern Lights Photography

Try and capture spectacular images of the Northern Lights and the clear starry night sky away from light pollution, with the help of professional nature photographer.

Ice Fishing

Learn the tricks of the trade of this noble art, fishing on remote lakes with an experienced guide, and an open fire to keep you toasty.

Skijoring

For something a little bit different, challenge yourself by skiing on a pair of horse pulled skis through snowy fields.

SÃ¡mi Experience

Cross the Arctic Circle, where you can meet some of the indigenous SÃ¡mi people, learn about their traditions and culture as well as feed the reindeer.

Moose Safari

Keep your eyes peeled to spot the 'King of the Forest,' riding with an experienced SÃ¡mi Caller to learn how to summon the Moose as well as spot foxes, golden eagles and bear.

Vivienne

We went looking for the Northern Lights and got so much more – snowmobiling, husky sledding, and we were hosted by lovely people. It was a pleasure planning our trip with Molly; she understood exactly what we were looking for from our snowy adventure!
