Seba Camp
Chobe National Park, Botswana
Why we love it
Seba Camp, blending beautifully into the ancient riverine forest of majestic hardwood trees, is situated in the diverse and productive Abu Concession. Overlooking a perennial lagoon with prolific birdlife and visiting pods of hippo, the camp has eight well-appointed, spacious tents elevated from the ground, each with an en-suite bathroom and a private deck with magnificent vistas.
Each tent celebrates the different ethnic groups of Botswana through vibrant décor, while the main area including dining area, bar and lounge-library is set on a raised saligna deck with floodplain views. There is ample space for children in the purpose built family suites including a built-in tree-house and an elevated deck which has its own small swimming pool and
sandpit.
This camp can accommodate 16 guests and 4 children. There are eight tented rooms, two of which are family units. Each of the tented rooms are raised on deck with sandy walkways to the ground. One family unit can sleep a maximum of six people, and the other a maximum of 5. Each family unit has its own private plunge pool, toys and game selection for the children and two bathrooms. They each consist of two rooms, with their own bathroom and entrance, separated by a broad walk and sharing a deck. The family units are very well-equipped to cater for children with bath, board games, sand pits and private plunge pools.
Head out into the fresh breeze in the early morning sun to spot some of the incredible wildlife that call the Okavango's surroundings home.
Explore the Delta by night to see fascinating sights of lesser-seen nocturnal animals, such as predators who often hunt at night.
Appreciate the sounds of the wildlife around you by heading out in a traditional wooden mokoro canoe without a motor.
Cover more ground on a motorised boat trip as you zip up the Delta's waterways on a boat safari - particularly spotting larger game.
Head out with a knowledgeable guide to get up close to wildlife and observe the smaller things you miss when travelling by vehicle.
Get back to basics as you fish with basic equipment for any of the Delta's 70 species of fish, including tilapia, bass and bream.
Sit out on your wooden deck and become a twitcher, ticking off native Botswana species ranging from malachite kingfishers to white-browed coucals.

The Pitchers
We had the most amazing time! John Barclay and his team were very special and the mobile safari exclusive and superb. Moremi was very quiet with few other tourists – no more than a dozen other vehicles seen in four days. Macatoo was also excellent with good riding and game. We were so grateful for the help that you offered when our BA flights went wrong. Many thanks again for the superb service and recommendations which made for a great holiday.
