Wilderness Abu Camp

Okavango Delta

At Wilderness Abu Camp you are invited to immerse yourself in the majestic world of the African elephant and become part of the herd during your stay. By the time you leave you will feel a special, emotional connection to the herd which is nothing less than humbling and rewarding, while gaining an understanding of elephant conservation, the premise on which Abu Camp is based. Abu Camp is mainly powered by solar panels, making this lodge eco-friendly and fundamentally around conservation. There are six luxury architect-designed tents each individuallyfurnished with a viewing deck overlooking the lagoon and an en-suite bathroom with indoor shower plus an outdoor copper bath. Each of the six en-suite units has its own distinctive furnishings and fittings, imparting an air of opulence in the bush. These airy tents feature an indoor and outdoor shower, an outdoor copper bath and a generous elevated teak deck. Well-lit pathways link the guest tents with the main lounge and dining area and a well-stocked library and study, gym and swimming pool will keep you entertained while at camp.

Reasons we love Wilderness Abu Camp

  • You are invited to immerse yourself in the world of the African elephant.
  • It is set in a pristine pocket of riverine forest of the unspoilt Okavango Delta and as such is at the heart of the rangelands of Africa’s largest surviving meta-herd of elephants.
  • Interacting with the elephants is an extraordinary and moving privilege that never fails to profoundly touch our guests.
